Admit it, as much as we love watching the Emmy Awards to celebrate the silver screen’s successes, it’s undeniable that one of the most anticipated parts of this awards show is the slew of stylish celebrity red carpet looks. This year’s carpet, however, took on a golden hue while A-listers graced the event dressed to the nines in chic frocks and suits.
One particular celeb who never fails to bring her A-game to any event is none other than Zendaya. A talented performer in her own right as she’s starred in big-screen blockbusters such as the Spiderman films and Dune, it was no doubt her role as the troubled high schooler Rue in HBO’s Euphoria that cemented her status as an actress and not merely just a star.
And recognized for her acting prowess she was as the 26-year-old won the night’s Outstanding Lead Actress award for her performance on the show, looking every bit as elegant in an all-black number that exuded Old Hollywood glamour vibes.

Dressed by her go-to stylist, Law Roach, Zendaya was clad in a Maison Valentino black ball gown, specifically designed for the red carpet event by Valentino’s creative director Pierpaolo Piccioli. Featuring a fitted bodice that flowed out into a peplum design, the gown descended into a full sweeping skirt that trailed out slightly behind the actress. Its black color gives the frock an air of timelessness, similar to pieces worn by ‘50s Hollywood actress Grace Kelly, from which it was inspired from.
To punctuate her dark neutral ensemble, Zendaya bedecked herself in luxury jeweler Bulgari’s stunning pieces.
Keeping with the minimalism of her overall look, Zendaya’s hairstylist Tony Medina, opted for a classic silk hairband to pull back her hair and keep it sleek at the top while keeping the rest of her tresses in voluminous curls. Celeb makeup artist Sheila Daley also kept the actress’ glam look light and fresh by way of bronzy skin and fluttery lashes.
