From a Barbie scene to New York City parades, the terno is making its well-deserved rounds in the international fashion circle. One star contributing to the cause is none other than Yassi Pressman, who spun the Filipiniana for the more contemporary gal during a recent Jo Koy show in Los Angeles, California.

During the Filipino-American comedian’s stand-up gig at the Historic Filipinotown in sunny LA, Yassi wore her “proud Filipina” heart in her butterfly sleeve, as put together by Team Cath Sobrevega, including stylists KT Landingin and Justin Mendoza. Apropos of the occasion, the actress was clothed in a Dee Javier original, a striped cropped number with a sultry back opening.
Instead of the trademark pañuelo, Yassi wore the lace detailing as a scarf tied around her neck, with a matching cloth by her left sleeve. She paired the top with leather drawstring pants, and rounded up the whole ensemble with the classic Chanel 2.55 flap bag and the Bottega Veneta Dot ankle strap sandals, making it a perfect mix of quintessential femininity and modern edge.
Her look of the night was accentuated with soft brown tresses, the handiwork of hairstylist Athena Alberto. Meanwhile, makeup artist Mikka Marcaida highlighted the Filipiniana ensemble with natural tones.
Aside from Jo Koy, Yassi was also spotted with Filipino-American comedian Andrew Lopez and Hollywood actress Tiffany Haddish, who starred alongside Jo Koy in the 2022 film Easter Sunday.
You look gorgeous, Yassi!
