If many of us dream of stepping into the stylish shoes of a K-drama lead, XO, Kitty might be the closest thing to making that happen. The Netflix series blends the irresistible charm of high school Korean romances with the To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before universe, as Lara Jean’s spunky little sister, Kitty Song Covey (played by Anna Cathcart), claims her main character moment in Seoul—complete with the inevitable whirlwind of romantic mishaps.
Now in its second season, the show dives even deeper into Kitty’s drama-packed adventures in South Korea. And while viewers swoon over her escapades and plot their own Hallyu-inspired getaways, channeling Kitty’s vibe might start with a simpler first step—her bright yellow suitcase, which perfectly matches her sunny demeanor.

In the first season of XO, Kitty, the titular character follows the call of romance miles away from home and onto the capital of South Korea, where she enrolls in the fictional KISS (Korean International School in Seoul), the school of her long-distance pen-pal boyfriend, Dae (Choi Minyeong). Once landing in Seoul, Kitty can be spotted lugging around a large yellow suitcase on the equally large campus.
In an interview with Buzzfeed, actress Anna Cathcart shared that her performance was so convincing, that bystanders thought she genuinely needed help and stepped in to assist her. “He literally picked up my suitcase and brought it to the front of the stairs," she said. "I was like, 'What is happening?!' I didn't know to tell him [this was a TV set], but I felt bad because I didn't say thank you because I was so stunned. Then, he kept walking off the set, and everyone was dying of laughter.”
Fast-forward to a new season, Kitty gets her second chance in KISS when the threat of her expulsion is long gone. While many mishaps (and everything else) might have happened in the few short months she stayed in the school, one thing, at least, remains: her yellow suitcase!
