It's been six months since Heart Evangelista and Sen. Chiz Escudero renewed their vows in Balesin, but Heart's most recent episode of her YouTube docuseries I Am Heart sheds some light on some of the details behind the scenes.
The Reason Why Heart Evangelista Didn't Wear White to Her Second Wedding
"Usually for weddings it's white," the actress explains. "But this one I felt was just right, because I feel like I've aged in a sense. So the white kind of aged, so it's now in a cream tone. That's why everybody is also in [a] cream vibe during the wedding."
"But I didn't want it to be white because I feel like white is pure. I mean I'm pure at heart but I'm not anymore 'pure' pure. You know I've—we've dealt with a lot and this was just kind of fitting and perfect for a second wedding."
And perfect it was. Heart also explained why she chose Elie Saab to do her second wedding dress. "They were actually one of the first—aside from Schiaparelli—houses that invited me (to fashion week)," she recalls. "So I felt that it was really fitting for me to fully embrace them as one of their ambassadors."

Not only did the fashion house do an excellent job with her beaded gown, they made Heart's ensemble extra significant by taking care of a few meaningful details. "I love Elie Saab, they did everything super special," Heart says. "This dress didn't have the hood. I wanted the hood. They also made my shoes to perfectly match the dress."
They also gifted the actress with a special bouquet from one of their couture shows. "The first bouquet I had, which was by Badang Rueda, was the same flowers Grace Kelly used for her wedding," she says. "But I wasn't able to dry it and I don't know where it is. I was so sad about it. And now this one, it's forever gonna be with me and forever beautiful."
As always, Heart looked amazing during her second wedding, and these little details made the day even more meaningful.
