On April 17, 2024, Dr. Vicki Belo uploaded a video on her Instagram addressing netizens’ comments about dressing “too young” for her age. In the video, she highlighted comments by strangers such as, “Mayaman ka, oo, pero act and dress your age” and “It’s not classy, it’s trying hard.” To this, she simply responded, “Yes…and?”, all while showcasing her stylish luxury wardrobe.
From Gucci corsets and Chanel handbags to Louis Vuitton sneakers, you can’t deny the doctor has great taste in fashion, and she certainly knows how to dress well for her age. “Yes, I love dressing up like I’m 25, and what about it?” she wrote matter-of-factly in the caption. “Stay confident, you’ll shine brighter (and age slower) [face with stuck-out tongue and winking eye emoji],” she said, and we couldn’t agree more.
Friends, fans, and followers of the doctor couldn’t help but applaud her for her clapback. Celebrities such as Andrea Brillantes, LA Aguinaldo, Tim Yap, and more also left supportive comments on her post.
