Dutifully bringing some Filipino flair to the streets of Milan Fashion Week is Tim Yap. To Moschino's recently concluded F/W 2023 show, the eventologist and Best Dressed honoree was decked out in an ensemble proudly crafted by local designer and artisans. One of the best parts about it? He was carrying a surprisingly affordable clutch that costs only P800!
LOOK: Tim Yap's Proudly Filipino OOTD at the Moschino Show in Milan Fashion Week
At first glance, what would immediately grab your attention are the glossy terno sleeves that had skull x-ray prints on them. The cool and modern gray suit was a star piece in the up-and-coming designer Alley Magtibay's collection for the 2023 edition of Bench Ternocon. Tim shares that he fell in love with the ensemble the second he laid eyes on it, and that he collaborated with Alley to make it a part of his fashion week wardrobe.
Another component of his OOTD that deserves attention was his tote of the night. He candidly shares with Preview that this woven clutch is actually from heritage brand Kultura and only had a price tag of P800! Even his white brogue leather shoes were sourced from Marikina, the shoe capital of the Philippines.
"The whole look is local. Even the shoes are hand made from Marikina," he revealed. Talk about Pinoy pride!
Now that's how you make a statement by championing our local talent. We love the look, Tim!
