Now that 2023 is nearing its end, major fashion houses are gearing up to finish the year strong with buzzworthy campaigns and striking product launches. Although difficult, some standout brands elevated their status and generated traction among consumers amid the notoriously unpredictable global fashion industry. Keep reading to learn more about the hottest fashion brands from July to September 2023 according to The Lyst Index!
The Lyst Index’s Top 10 Hottest Fashion Brands of Q3 2023
1. Miu Miu
After being named Brand of the Year for 2022, Miu Miu placed first as the hottest brand in the world. Owing to their collaborations with Church and New Balance, the brand’s feminine designs gained popularity among the Gen Z market and celebrities like Gigi Hadid and Troye Sivan.
2. Loewe
Despite dropping one spot from last year, Loewe still showed a lot of promise with their Fall/Winter 2023 campaigns featuring Taylor Russell, Tang Wei, and Jamie Dornan. Their Squeeze Bag, Bracelet Pouch, and Classic Puzzle Bag have also made waves on social media throughout the year.
3. Prada
Placing third is Prada, which debuted the Arqué shoulder bag and continued its iterations of Prada Mode in Seoul and Tokyo. The Italian fashion house also partnered with flower kiosks for their Fall/Winter 2023 campaigns to explore the paradoxical nature of humanity.
4. Bottega Veneta
Following the successful launch of the Orbit sneaker, Bottega Veneta ascended to fourth place. Beyond their new Spring/Summer 2024 collection and art publishing project Magma, the brand remains unmovable with the steady popularity of their signature intrecciato weave.
5. Versace
As hype surrounding their Dua Lipa collaboration gradually died down earlier this year, Versace dropped two spots. To secure fifth place, they released the Greca Goddess bag and sponsored the Clooney Foundation’s The Albies.
6. Saint Laurent
Not only did Saint Laurent rise to the sixth spot, but the brand also reported seven percent growth in revenue in just the first half of 2023. Their leap in fame was thanks in part to their first-ever fine jewelry line and their star-studded Fall/Winter 2023 campaign spotlighting Kate Moss, Hailey Bieber, and Zoë Kravitz.
7. Moncler
Similar to Saint Laurent, Moncler made its way up as a result of its unwavering double-digit growth in Q1 and Q2. Coming at the heels of their very first global summer campaign, the fashion house kicked off Moncler Re/Icons and worked with Pharell Williams for a new Moncler Genius collection.
8. Valentino
After returning to Milan Men’s Fashion Week and securing the sixth spot a few months back, Valentino descended to eighth place this quarter. Initiatives to arrest the decline include launching the Valentino Garavani VLogo Moon bag, joining forces with Sleep No More in China for the Black Tie collection, and tapping Kaia Gerber to open the Haute Couture Valentino Un Château presentation.
9. Jacquemus
On account of their countless partnerships with Hollywood A-listers, Jacquemus jumped from the 15th spot to the ninth. Apart from creating custom looks for Beyoncé’s world tour and naming Gigi Hadid as the face of the Le Chouchou campaign, Jacquemus is a cult-favorite among highly influential personalities like Kourtney Kardashian, Selena Gomez, and Hailey Bieber.
10. Burberry
Joining the top 10 list for the first time this year, Burberry officially completes the first half of the Lyst Index’s lineup. Their advancement comes as no surprise, what with their memorable global city takeovers and their impressive Spring/Summer 2024 presentation at London Fashion Week.
