The 77th Cannes Film Festival officially kicked off on May 14, and has since seen a storm of stylish stars from all over the world. The annual film festival was graced by a number of Filipino celebrities who undoubtedly made the country proud with their glossy ensembles.
Below, a list of stylish Filipino celebs spotted on the 2024 Cannes Film Festival red carpet:
1. Pia Wurtzbach
Miss Universe 2015 Pia Wurtzbach is a seasoned pro at all things glamour. The 34-year-old model and UNAIDS Goodwill Ambassador kicked off her Cannes appearance with a sculptural tobacco silk gazar gown by Stephane Rolland.
Next, she wore an icy Cinderella-blue ball gown by none other than the iconic Filipino couturier Michael Cinco. Complete with an iridescent skirt, boned corset, and bejeweled bodice, the gown was fit for a queen!
Leave it to Pia to flawlessly pull off a bold look! She donned a floor-sweeping chainmail dress by Fendi Couture.
INSTAGRAM/piawurtzbachBlue really is Pia's lucky color. At a gala for amfAR, a nonprofit organization dedicated to ending AIDS, she wore a sheer bodycon gown with oversized petal cuffs by the French brand ALAIA.
2. Kelsey Merritt
Ever the siren, 27-year-old fashion model Kelsey Merritt hit the red carpet in an ebony gown by Carolina Herrera and jewelry from Tiffany and Co. She looked absolutely phenomenal!
3. Kylie Verzosa
Miss International 2016 Kylie Verzosa proudly wore a Mark Bumgarner creation to the French fete. The ensemble of choice was a lingerie-inspired gown with a lacy bustier top and a draped skirt with a supersized flare.
Continuing the corset theme, Kylie went for another Mark Bumgarner gown with rose appliqués, a boned bodice, and a full princess skirt.
Last but not the least, the 32-year-old model wore a gown from Dubai-based brand Sophie Couture. The ensemble featured a black tube top and a pillowy skirt and sleeve set in a bouquet print.
4. Kim Jones
Fashion blogger and designer Kim Jones brought her unique flair to the festival as well!
She was a vision in a tailored skirt suit by Mugler accented with lace hems, a shirt-and-tie pairing, and kooky ribbon heels.
The 36-year-old tastemaker also paid homage to the '90s in a navy suit by John Galliano. She styled the set with a black lace veil.
Completing her suit triad is a cool red Mugler suit with razor-sharp lapels, styled with a Celine vanity case.
5. Jericho Rosales
Jericho Rosales opted for a classic black tuxedo with a bowtie. To cap off his dapper look: dress shoes shined to perfection!
6. Shaina Magdayao
Shaina Magdayao came to Cannes dead set on the terno sleeves agenda. The 34-year-old actress wore pearly separates by designer Russel May Cordero, as well as a lacy peach dress by Atelier Debbie Co.
