You won't believe it!

When it comes to my 'fits, nothing irks me more than a stain. No matter how small it may be, it tends to stick out like a sore thumb, especially against a white backdrop. It feels even worse when, even after you've sent it to the cleaners, it comes back still visibly discolored. This was precisely what happened to Singaporean socialite Jamie Chua, and the unfortunate item that got stained was her five-million-peso Hermès Himalayan Birkin bag—gasp!

According to Jamie, during her move to her new home, she noticed a brown stain on the very front of her Himalayan Birkin. In an attempt to remedy the situation, she used a leather cleaner, which only made the stain spread to about the size of a 10-peso coin. After consulting with a bag spa, who quoted her 1240 Singapore dollars (roughly P51,797) without being able to guarantee that the stain would be removed, Jamie decided to take matters into her own hands.

In her vlog, Jamie recounted a moment when she previously stained another one of her Himalayan bags during a trip to Korea. In a desperate attempt to get rid of the stains, she asked the flight crew if they had a white pencil eraser, and luckily, they had. She spent the whole time slowly erasing the blue marks from the handbag until it was spotless.

With that in mind, she used the same technique on the brown stain of her Himalayan Birkin. This time, she sprinkled on some baking soda to add to its cleansing power. And, surprise surprise, it worked!

In case you find yourself in the same situation as Jamie, here's her advice: “If you guys have [a] matte crocodile handbag that has some color transfer on it, you can try that. It’s pretty darn safe. I can guarantee you that,” she said enthusiastically.
