Last October 27, Sharon Cuneta and Gabby Concepcion took a stroll down memory lane at the MOA Arena stage in Pasay City for their much-anticipated Dear Heart reunion concert. It was a night filled with nostalgia for both the iconic love team and their devoted fans. But what truly stole the show, apart from the heartwarming performances, were the mesmerizing outfits that Sharon donned.

In an exclusive interview with Preview, Nancy Arcega, the Megastar's long-time stylist, shared her insights into how she and the rest of the team managed to bring the love story of Sharon and Gabby to life through fashion. "I went back to watching 'Dear Heart' and their interviews from the '80s when they were just starting. It wasn't difficult for me because I am a Sharon-Gabby fan myself," she confessed.

The creative process involved brainstorming sessions with various designers and close coordination with Roko Arceo, Gabby Concepcion's stylist. Each outfit was assigned to match different segments of the concert, creating a visually stunning narrative that complemented the love team's journey. The script, penned by Eloisa Matias, one of Sharon's closest friends, served as the guiding light for the entire wardrobe selection process.

1. Jot Losa designed the perfect opening number look—a blush, electric pleated, flowy ensemble that encapsulated the essence of a “young, naive, teenage Sharon,” as Nancy describes it. According to Jot, the gown was “inspired by a dazzling sunrise.” 

2. In the next segment, the lovebirds were interviewed by showbiz couple Regine and Ogie, talking about their love story and journey to married life. For this portion, Nancy decided to go all-white. Sharon wore a Neric Beltran corset made of velvet crepe and a duchess satin suit, paired with fully hand-beaded Swarovski crystal lace pants. Completing the look were a pair of Roger Vivier Satin Flower Strass heels in white. The Divacape, a giant bow filled with lace flowers, was meant to make the three-part ensemble into an avant-garde wedding outfit, symbolizing the veil and train. 

3.  As the concert delved into a darker phase of the couple's relationship, a clip from an old film revealed the painful parting of ways. To match the mood, Nancy chose emerald green, a flattering color for Sharon. Cocoy Lizaso crafted "The Breakup Gown," an asymmetrical trumpet skirt green gown made of crepe and silk material. It featured black and green Swarovski crystals to create an ombré effect, capturing the complexity of emotions in this poignant chapter.

4. For their final number, the couple sang their famous duet, "Come What May," and Sharon looked incredible in her elegant black ensemble. It was made from French mikado fabric, featuring oversized bell sleeves and a broad collar, which Sharon referred to as a "very chic, classy Morticia Addams peg." The cut and execution resulted in a balanced serpent silhouette, accentuated by a belt and tipped-edge Swarovski elements. Gary Dela Cruz of Puey Quiñones' fashion house described it as "amazingly crafted elegance and artistry,” adding even more beauty to the already-classy aura of the Megastar.
