At the Shangri-La Plaza’s Summer Fashion Show 2019: Sun, Sand, and Squad, we got to see a curated collection by Shang on the hottest summer trends this year, brought by brands such as Anne Klein, Bayo, CLN, Daniel Hechter, Debenhams, Details, Ever New, Fino, Flower Collection, John Herrera, Mango, Marks & Spencer, Plains and Prints, Rajo!, Rustan’s Department Store, SC Vizcarra, SkyCastle, Styled, TM Lewin, Unica Hija, ViseVersa, and Weave.
Bright colors and detailed throwback patterns are big this season, even for dressier pieces: think nautical prints and colors for work-appropriate wear, as well as casual wear and evening dresses in cool sea-inspired hues like aquamarine, turquoise and cerulean. We see the return of the tie dye this summer season, as well as 2000s-esque bohemian maxi dresses. The resurge of denim, meanwhile, isn’t dying down anytime soon—go rock that denim jacket with crop tops or flowy rompers.
