Perhaps a more appropriate question would be, who is Ronny Kobo? The label's namesake is an Israeli designer who grew up in Hong Kong who eventually found her footing in the Big Apple (She has a master's degree from New York University, FYI.) In past interviews, Ronny has shared how growing up in a business-savvy family led her to building her own brand.

The History of Ronny Kobo
Before the likes of Selena Gomez were wearing her work, Ronny launched her empire in 2009 with a line of accessories and eventually an apparel brand initially called Torn by Ronny Kobo. 10 years later, the designer sought to debut her newest collection at Paris Fashion Week, which was seen as a bold move at the time.
"My brand is for the fashion girl, but in a cheerful, happy, approachable way," she stated, in response to criticisms of her label not being "high-fashion" enough for a runway presentation. "I put my brand on the global runway (...) and started it as 'affordable luxury.' Which meant that now the fashion retailers who were buying very expensive fashion brands, were also buying Ronny Kobo.”
