Miss Universe 2022 R'Bonney Nola is obviously a stunner, but this week she left netizens gagging when she wore a "tahong" dress of her own design to New York Fashion Week.
LOOK: R'Bonney Nola Wore a "Tahong" Dress to NYFW

Yup, you read that right. Wearing a design from her first collection entitled, How to Survive on Land and Sea, R'Bonney Nola looked absolutely gorgeous wearing a halter top covered entirely in "tahong" or mussel shells. Painted in an iridescent blue and green, her outfit also featured matching earrings and paid tribute to her Filipino heritage.

She first debuted the piece a week ago during Bench Fashion Week alongside her other cleverly upcycled designs. The look was originally paired with a maxi length dark wash denim skirt for the runway, but R'Bonney took a more fun approach for NYFW and wore a denim mini to complete outfit.

Netizens React to R'Bonney Nola's "Tahong" Dress
Of course, the internet had something to say about the model's eye-catching ensemble. Most netizens were quick to praise R'Bonney's creativity, saying she was a "living Barbie" and that "tahong never looked so good."

Others turned to humor, with one netizen asking how to launder the piece and another remarking, "Buti pa ang tahong naka pa Fashion Week."

Whatever you might think about her tahong dress, we think it's safe to say this outfit was a slay.
