Sartorially speaking, 2024 was a year of pure variety. The fashion girl's wardrobe experienced several shifts, with cowboy boots and bubble skirts coexisting with bayonetta glasses and anything dyed red. The Puma Speedcat succeeded the Adidas Samba as the sneaker du jour, and quiet luxury evolved from TV show fad to a bona fide lifestyle. The past twelve months had a little bit of everything for everyone.
2024 had Preview pushing the envelope when it came to interpreting this myriad of style codes. With all of the micro-trends that came and went, Editor-in-Chief Marj Ramos-Clemente offers perspective on what defines the modern-day Preview girl and how she dresses. "Being truly cool starts with dressing up for yourself, embracing the moments when you’re different, and liberating yourself from the constraints of trends and traditions," she said at the Preview Ball 2024. "Authenticity is the one thing in this world that should never go out of style."
Such ethos was reflected through Preview's monthly covers, which put the spotlight on today's most notable personalities within and beyond the world of fashion. From show biz royalty to modern-day heroes, these individuals embodied who they are and looked good doing it. Ahead, we go on a trip down memory lane.
