The Preview Ball 2024 was a star-studded affair that put the spotlight on Filipino creatives and local movers of style. Preview's Best Dressed List and Best Filipino Fashion Designers intermingled with notable names in the industry for a glamorous night that celebrated authenticity at the Marriott Grand Ballroom at Newport World Resorts.
The theme of the event was "authenticity," and guests were asked to come in attire that reflected their own interpretation of "skin tone creative formal." Best Dressed honorees showcased their impeccable taste and turned up in a myriad of showstopping outfits, like Niana Guerrero's custom thermal heat-inspired set and Matteo Guidicelli's bespoke tailored suit by William Lee.
As Best Dressed honoree Ces Drilon told host Tim Yap on the nude carpet, "I think you should know who you are first, but before you do that I think you need to experiment. It's the only way you'll find what works for you."
The word "authenticity" can be interpreted differently depending on who you ask. For Style Icon Tweetie de Leon, she lives by it—and not just in terms of fashion. "It's really the only way to sustain peace within yourself, if you're authentic and not have to succumb to pretense. People are able to see who you really are, it's very liberating. And that's the only way to enjoy life."
