“On the surface, my life seemed idyllic. I was in a loving relationship and had achieved success in the Philippines, however professionally I felt stagnant,” she admitted. It had been seven years since she passed on her Miss Universe crown, and although her name was known by most–if not, all–Filipinos, her drive to progress and become better pushed her to see what more she could achieve, particularly in the international scene.
“I craved growth beyond what I knew. The desire to explore my potential outside the Philippines had been brewing since I passed on my Miss Universe crown. So I confided in Jeremy about my unhappiness and frustration,” she shared.

Despite being engaged to Jeremy and preparing for their marriage, Pia felt a sense of discontentment. "I still couldn't shake off the feeling of discontent," she admitted. This realization led her to explore new avenues, eventually finding her passion in fashion.
Transitioning from pageantry to the fashion industry wasn't easy, however. "You need to have really thick skin in that industry and work your way," she acknowledged. However, Pia embraced the challenge wholeheartedly, determined to carve out her path.
She immersed herself in the industry, building relationships and showcasing her passion. Despite encountering doubters questioning her intentions, Pia remained undeterred, believing in her ability to succeed.

In true pageant queen fashion, Pia offered inspiring words of wisdom. “There is so much space for everyone to grow. To be better. To show their skill, use their talent, and share their story. That feeling of unease if you’re ever in that place, that nagging sense that something isn’t right–it’s a sign. That’s the universe nudging you to make a change, to realign yourself with your true path.”
She emphasized the importance of embracing change and setbacks as opportunities for growth. "Setbacks aren’t roadblocks–they’re opportunities for growth," she affirmed. “And guess what? It worked. Manifesting my dreams paid off. I am now a L'Oréal ambassador. I’m living a dream I only once dreamed of,” she continued.

She encouraged others to take leaps of faith, reminding them that "the only failure is not trying at all." Pia urged everyone to embrace the unknown and pursue their dreams, concluding her message with an empowering note. "Your wildest dreams just might be waiting for you on the other side. Just give it a try."
Hear, hear, Pia!
