When it comes to red carpet looks, Cebu-born designer Monique Lhuillier has a solid track record as a favorite among Korean stars. Aside from the likes of Park Eun Bin and Bae Suzy, Hallyu actress Park Shin Hye is proving that thought, after arriving at the 33rd Seoul Music Awards in a bridal original from the Filipina designer.

The Heirs actress was in attendance at the recent 33rd Seoul Music Awards on January 2 held in Bangkok, Thailand, where she walked the red carpet in a recent creation from Monique Lhuillier. Shin Hye was garbed in the dainty off-shouldered Soleil gown, a piece drawn from the designer’s Spring 2024 bridal collection.
The bridalwear collection echoed a fusion of an English garden under the Californian sun, as it takes cues from romantic motifs with notes of Victorian influences, floral laces, wildflowers, luxurious textures, and varied hemlines.
Shin Hye’s gown, in particular, is Monique’s take on the high-low silhouette, leaving space for a subtle show of leg when worn. The collection’s eye for gentle femininity makes itself shine with the drapery of its delicate straps and train, paired with dainty floral prints throughout the piece.
This isn’t the first time that Shin Hye has tapped the Filipina designer for a momentous occasion. In 2022, the Korean actress sourced a gown from Monique’s Spring 2022 collection for one of her wedding photoshoot looks, which featured intricate lace details and billowing sleeves.
