There are some things in life that you consider a need more than a want. Case in point: Onitsuka Tiger's newest, most delicate spin on the Mexico 66 yet, the Mexico 66 TGRS. The latest iteration mixes the sophistication of a pair of ballet flats with the comfort of a sneaker.
LOOK: Onitsuka Tiger Gives Mexico 66 Sneakers a Dainty Spin
You may or may not have seen these coquettish pairs abroad but they weren't available yet in the Philippines, but the Mexico 66 TGRS will finally land on our shores at Onitsuka Tiger stores this week.
The ballet sneakers breathes everything we love about the Mexico 66; the slim, low-profile silhouette, round toe, and the iconic Onitsuka Tiger stripes (but with a cute, floral twist) and the logo on the heel-combined with another classic style that looks like ballet flats.
It's a slip-on style with dainty scalloped straps over the upper with a wide opening that allows for easy wear and a chance to show off your cute socks. Oh, and did we mention the iconic Onitsuka Tiger stripes are scalloped, too?
The Mexico 66 TGRS is available in five color options and combos. For something simple and versatile, there are the all-white and all-black pairs. Their love child, a pair that has a black upper and white detailing on the stripes and straps, is also available. For something more standout, choose the metallic or the black-and-pink colorways.
No exact price is out for these cute pairs yet, but trust that we'll update you once we get our hands on the details. It will be available in the last week of March at Onitsuka Tiger stores, but you can check out Onitsuka Tiger's website to get a glimpse of their offerings now.
