Congrats are in order for Nicole Borromeo, who placed third runner-up in Miss International 2023! The Cebuana beauty queen capped off her Miss International journey with a podium finish, which recently concluded in Tokyo, Japan.

While Venezuela’s Andrea Rubio was eventually crowned the pageant’s new titleholder, Nicole radiated a queenly aura of her own in a majestic evening gown by Dubai-based Filipino designer Furne Amato.
The iridescent blue-hued number takes direct inspiration from the mythical magindara, the guardian of the seas, which is perceived to be the Visayan and Bicolano counterpart of sirens.
Crafted with mesh net crystals and Egyptian stones, the whole ensemble infuses “maiden allure” and “fierce feminine rage,” in par with its mythic muse. Meanwhile, the gown’s sleek silhouette and color palette reference the bioluminescent aquatic life, further detailed by a translucent fringe meant to resemble fins.
To accessorize the glimmering piece, Nicole paired the look with diamonds from Cebu-based jeweler Diagold.
Aside from Nicole and Andrea, among the night's winners include 4th runner-up Vanessa Hayes Schutt of Bolivia, 2nd runner-up Camila Diaz Daneri of Peru, and 1st runner-up Sofía Osío Luna of Colombia. Congrats to all the queens!
