Miss World Philippines 2022 Gwendolyne Fourniol represented the Philippines well two years after her win at the 71st Miss World competition held in Mumbai, India, on Sunday night — where Megan Young, Miss World 2013 and our only Miss World to date, served as the host.
Sadly, her journey came to an end short of the Top 40 announcements, an update that shocked her fans as Gwen was seen to be doing well after landing among the semi-finalists in three Miss World Challenges: the Sports Challenge, the Talent Challenge, and the Head-to-Head Challenge.

Still, Gwen looked stunning and held her head high in her final gown, where she was pretty in pink in a bedazzled curve-hugging gown by Filipino designer Rian Fernandez.
Details of the final look were revealed by the beauty queen's stylist, Brasty Silva, who also shared in a separate post that Gwen did her own makeup for the competition.
Fitting her like a glove, the gown featured a halter neckline that was intricately encrusted with gems to resemble a choker.
The detailed beadwork continues further down the silhouette, creating geometric patterns against sheer fabric.
The dress showcases Rian Fernandez’s signature aesthetics of blending bold and form-fitting silhouettes with intricate yet geometric beading.
Rian is no stranger to dressing up beauty queens, having formerly worked with Miss Universe 2022 R’Bonney Gabriel, while Miss Universe 2023 Sheynnis Palacios served as his muse at his recent New York Fashion Week show.
Fans praised Gwen’s regal look as she walked down the Miss World stage, which led others to wonder how she would have fared if she had gone further in the pageant.
