We love this collaboration: Reigning Miss Universe Sheynnis Palacios walked in a stunning creation by Filipino designer Rian Fernandez at the latter’s recently concluded show at the New York Fashion Week!
Rian, who hails from Pangasinan and has dressed several beauty queens around the world such as Sheynnis’ predecessor, Miss Universe 2022 R’Bonney Gabriel, unveiled his latest couture collection — and Sheynnis was none other than his muse!

Sheynnis even flew in all the way from Doha, Qatar for a final fitting of the gown, which featured stunning and detailed beadwork in black and white.
Known for his intricate designs, Rian certainly did not disappoint in this creation, fitting Sheynnis like a glove as she wore an A-line ballgown that featured a masterful use of appliqué, with different patterns overlays on top of each other.
We also love the embroidered details on the bodice of the dress, and the low geometrical neckline, also beaded in silver, that flaunted Sheynnis' décolletage! It's an eye-catching way to punctuate the black-and-white palette seen throughout the piece.
The beauty queen was the show-stopping finale of the night, as she strutted down the runway in the gown, hand in hand with Rian. She wore her short hair sleek, drawing all the attention on the gorgeous designer piece.
“We did it, it was amazing!” Sheynnis said in a video after the show.
