One of the most awaited segments of the Miss Universe Philippines pageant is always the runway challenge. Aside from showcasing their signature walks, this year, the delegates were tasked to strut in their own interpretations of a modern Filipiniana. The parade was a feast for the eyes!
Ahead, in no particular order, we list down our stand-out ensembles.
LOOK: The Best Modern Filipiniana Looks at Miss Universe PH 2023
1. Angelique Manto, Pampanga
Staying true to her hubadera style, Angelique donned a crystallized blue terno dress by Patricia Pascual. The daringly short frock had a cut-out by her abs and a flowing sheet of fabric to the side.
2. Vanessa Yuson Matzeit, Negros Oriental
Vanessa was channeling her inner goddess in an ethereal Ricci Calzado original. Her earth-toned ensemble starred a structured bustier and butterfly sleeves, glimmering sheer layers, and a headwrap.
3. Airissh Ramos, Eastern Samar
Making the entire runway shimmer was Airissh in an embellished high-slit dress by Alison Castro. Staying true to the assignment, it also featured a detachable terno sleeve that had pearls dramatically dangling from it.
4. Kali Navea-Huff, Pasig
In a tribute to her late grandmother, Kali was a technicolor dream in a Ritchie Teves creation. It was composed of a gold satin bustier with a singular sleeve and a fuchsia pencil skirt.
5. Rein Hillary, Sorsogon
Standing out in a simple but stunning Jhoey Villarente frock was Rein. Her terno had a structured mini skirt and a flattering v-neckline, and was adorned with yellow floral lace.
6. Chesca Iman, Mandaluyong
Chesca was beaming in a Nord Portugal corset dress that had a bunched-up satin skirt and red fabric roses on its sleeves.
7. Chloie Gabales, Iloilo
With a butterfly sleeve on one side and petal-like layers on the other, Chloie was ready to set the catwalk on fire. The piece, which mimicked the beauty queen's red and gold makeup look, was by Ram Silva.
8. Michelle Marquez Dee, Makati
One of Michelle's primary advocacies is autism awareness. She decided to incorporate the cause's global colors to her white Noel Estopito dress by way of intricate weaving.
