When we think "Tiffany Blue," images of Audrey Hepburn in a black dress munching on breakfast by the store's shuttered windows come to mind, and of course, so do the bright robin-egg hues of the famed jewelry brand. The popular hue of New York luxury house Tiffany & Co. is "registered as a color trademark by Tiffany" since 1998. And yes, they've practically become synonymous with the shade, so much so that the subtle mixture of light blue and green is instantly recognizable.
Now take a similar shade and another popular design, like say, Japanese brand Onitsuka Tiger, its OG Tiger stripes, and the timeless Mexico 66s, put them together, and you get a stunningly elegant pair of kicks.
SHOP: Tiffany Blue Onitsuka Tiger Sneakers
The Mexico 66s just got a rather minty update with a new elegant colorway. Take a look at this pair dressed in a subdued minty blue, not unlike the shade Tiffany's boxes are known for. From the fresh, enamel recycled leather upper, heel flap, tongue down to the eco-friendly shoe laces, you get a cool hue mixed in with the cream of the stripes, outsole, and insole.
Check out the pair below:
We can imagine this pop of color adding a little oomph to any casual outfit. You can even dress it up for an office 'fit with slacks and a clean button-down; throw on dainty silver pieces and you've got a new way to update the classic look. The Mexico 66s are a staple for any sneakerhead, after all, and this new hue gives the timeless design updated flair. Plus, if you can't get Tiffany's for your Valentine, you can get them these kicks instead.
These pale blue and cream Mexico 66 colorway retails at P6,590. According to Onitsuka Tiger, these are coming soon to Metro Manila stores.
