After all, not only has he dressed celebrities and socialites, he's also been the go-to designer for actual royalty! With the coordination of Stanz Wedding, Mikaela Pacubas wedded her beau Carlo Yap in an elegant destination wedding at Bangkok's luxury venue La Chapelle. It was a sight to behold as Gideon Hermosa enhanced the architecturally ornate space with an overflow of blooms and candles, creating a romantic dream-like haze that was perfectly captured by Pat Dy's team.
The 28-year old Managing Director of her family's Surebright Manufacturing Industries was a complete vision in white as she donned a fully embellished, figure-flattering halter gown with a sultry yet classy keyhole detail. It was peppered with gems and crystals, allowing for an iridescent glow fit for any modern day princess.
The ornate lattice work extended to her dress' impressive train and bridal veil. She was cocooned with layers upon layers of exquisite fabric that boasts of expert beadwork, making jaws drop with her grand entrance.
Fun fact: Mikaela previously shared a glimpse of the beadwork when she had her initial fitting in Dubai at the beginning of the year. She said in her caption that she has "been dreaming about" wearing a Michael Cinco, and we can totally see why!
She even took time to share with Preview her experience with Michael and how it made it her gown all the more special. "Michael Cinco is my dream wedding designer and the only choice I had," she reveals. "I told him I wanted something one of a kind and something he hasn't done before," she recounts, explaining that Michael would then give her three different options to choose from. In true fairytale fashion, she fell in love at first sight when she first saw her dress. Aww!
Her bridal frock was transformed into a simpler yet just as breathtaking ensemble during the reception dinner. This time, foregoing the lavish train, it became a curve-skimming serpentina dress that was perfect for partying the night away teamed with René Caovilla heels. She would also later take off the veil but keep her delicate Michael Cinco headpiece for some sparkle.
Her groom Carlo was also quite the dapper sartorialist. The President of Priland Development Corporation chose a Tom Ford tuxedo and a bowtie, as well as a pair of classic black Dior oxfords for his wedding 'fit.
