Melissa and Jean Paul Gaultier's collaboration has a rich history, starting from their first sneaker in 1983 and encompassing iconic styles such as sandals, platforms, and boots. With the launch of the 2023 collection, the collaboration now includes a total of seven products, showcasing Melissa's Brazilian design and technology on a global scale. The collection draws inspiration from the punk universe and incorporates elements from Jean Paul Gaultier's past creations.

The collab features two bold and unique shoe designs: The Melissa Punk Love Pump + Jean Paul Gaultier is a heeled pump with a romantic gothic touch, blending light punk and '80s hardcore influences. The design stands out with metallic spikes on the straps that extend up to the upper part of the foot. Meanwhile, another standout model is the Melissa Becky Punk Love + Jean Paul Gaultier, which reinterprets Melissa's classic platform under the house of Gaultier's aesthetic. This shoe features transparent plastic strips adorned with studded metallic spikes, adding an edgy yet contemporary element.

The collection offers a variety of colors, including black, pink, white, and lilac, and all designs use Melissa's proprietary vegan material called Melflex, which is 100% recyclable. The soles are also made of E.V.A., a lightweight material that ensures comfort without compromising style.
