Welcome Party

For her first look, Marj welcomed her wedding crew in a custom, halter-necked Vania Romoff frock that exuded dreamy sophistication. As per the bride, she wanted to keep this dress elegant but light, hence why they opted for a see-through fabric. For a more dynamic finish, Marj also asked for texture, which came in the form of stand-out white flowers punctuating her neck and waist. A high-slit cut to one side also provided a sultry contrast to the dress’s delicateness, of which Marj so effortlessly wears below.

Wedding Ceremony

Marj walked down the aisle draped in an ivory Oscar de la Renta gown from the designer’s Bridal Fall 2019 Collection. Having worn her hair in a sleek and simple bun, all eyes were on the bride and her breathtaking cut-out lace dress with irresistible fern embroidery that she purposefully hunted down.

“Grabe, that fern pattern, I had to have it,” Marj told Preview. She eventually found the fated frock on Stillwhite, a website where brides can sell their pre-loved designer gowns. “I was on FaceTime with the bride for a few weeks just asking her about the dress. Then one day I said, okay, I'm gonna get it without ever trying it on ever because the measurements were kind of my size, but I was also hoping that I wouldn't need to alter it.”

Luckily the dress fit with only a few adjustments needed. “They were like, ‘Paano 'yan if it’s not a silhouette that suits you?’ No, I know it's gonna look good on me! And this was so early in the wedding planning too, like I already had a dress,” shared Marj.

Wedding Reception

Come the wedding reception, Marj changed into a custom, scallop-patterned dress by Banggo Niu. According to the bride, Banggo wanted to veer away from her first two looks above, which led him to suggest a beaded number. “I didn’t want do beaded but I trust his vision. I just wanted to look good for the beach,” admitted the bride.

After quickly working on it just a few months before the wedding, Banggo came up with a stunning beauty that Marj absolutely fell in love with. “I’m not a fan of beaded dresses but I completely changed my mind when he showed me the fabric. He did it so quick also,” and off to the party she went as a newly-minted missis.

Afterparty

Finally once all the formalities were done, Marj let loose at the afterparty in another custom mini dress. “They were saying na mukha akong magkaka-ASAP prod!” she said of the Julianne Syjuco creation. Crafted with a fun and flirty fringe fabric complete with beadings, it turned out to be just the perfect head-turner for a full night of dancing with her promised one and only.
