This year's Preview Ball was a sartorial fete like no other. Aside from unveiling our annual Best Dressed list and our inaugural roster of Best Filipino Fashion Designers, we also recognized the first-ever recipient of our annual Style Icon award.
There was no better honoree for this than Marian Rivera. The actress first graced our covers in 2008, followed by the iconic Barbie-themed cover shoot in June 2009, and then her edgy androgynous cover in November 2012. She then fronted the magazine once again with not just one but four different bridal covers in January 2015. And just last year, Preview ended 2022 on a high note with another breathtaking Marian Rivera cover—the same year she was also named as one of the Best Dressed honorees.
Throughout the years, she's evolved into an undeniable force in fashion, always impressing onlookers with her effortless chicness—just like how she graced this year's event in a sleek and elegant designer ensemble.

Styled by Melville Sy and Maita Bello of Studio24c, Marian wore a sheeny satin frock from Shona Joy, layered under a Schiaparelli padlock jacket. On her feet were a pair of red bottoms, specifically the Collaclou 100 PVC pumps.
And of course, no Marian Rivera look is complete with the accessories. For the evening, her bag of choice was a crocodolie-skin Louis Vuitton Capucines, another worthy addition to her collection of reptilian-skin totes.
To elevate things even further, she layered on necklaces from Pomellato, and slipped on two gold rings from Bulgari and Van Cleef & Arpels. The slew of bling amplified her monochromatic makeup look.
