The POP MART hype has hit Philippine shores, and it's not leaving anytime soon. Just walk down a street anywhere in Metro Manila and you're for sure going to catch sight of Labubu, Dimoo, or Crybaby dangling from someone's bag.
Perhaps someone we can trace this craze to is Marian Rivera, whom many refer to as the "POP MART Queen." Almost everyone has coveted the actress' expansive collection of dolls, plushes, and figurines, some of which can be seen adorning her looks. In a quick chat with Preview, she breaks down what about the brand makes her heart sing.
Why Marian Can't Get Enough of POP MART
"I've always had a passion for collection," Marian candidly tells Preview. When she was a little girl, she had armies of Sanrio characters, particularly Hello Kitty. Nowadays, it's the POP MART gang bringing a smile to her face. She says that she first fell in love with the brand when she was gifted a Royal Molly by her husband Dingdong Dantes last August.
These figurines send our POP MART Queen on a much-appreciated nostalgia trip. "[They] bring me so much joy, [and they] remind me of my childhood and the happiness that cute characters like these can bring," she expresses.
On the daily, she attaches a charm to her bags to add a fun and playful touch to her looks. She loves to choose and curate them to match the colors and vibes of her OOTDs. The primetime actress states "it's all about expressing my mood for the day!"

Of course, we can't talk about the POP MART phenomenon without mentioning Labubu. The furry little fella has been a recurring character in many stylistas' ensembles, Marian included. While the GMA star is obsessed with all things POP MART, Dimoo has a special place in her heart.
