In case you missed it, Louis Vuitton has just revamped one of its most iconic sneakers—say hello to the Archlight 2.0!
Following the designer shoes’ first release in 2018, the famous chunky pair revolutionized the silhouette for sneakerheads and fashion enthusiasts, thanks to its oversized tongue, curved rubber sole, and futuristic outline.
For the latest iteration of the cult-favorite sneakers, the French fashion house recruited contemporary talents such as actress Chloë Grace Moretz, actor and musician Jaden Smith, and Chinese footballer Sam Li. The new edition plays with a mixture materials, with the silhouette adorned in raffia, guipure lace, and a new experimental rubber platform outsole.
According to Louis Vuitton, this reimagined design takes a page out of moccasins, high boots, and desert boots. In particular, the LV Cottage collection is attuned to a pastoral aesthetic, outfitted with unique materials, like crocheted raffia in an earth-tone, white, and black color palette.
