What Is the Louis Vuitton Loop?
Debuted at Louis Vuitton's Cruise 2022 presentation, the Loop is a handbag that takes after the Croissant. The latter, which is endearingly named after the French pastry it resembles, was a hallmark piece of the brand's early 2000s collections. The Croissant is still present in Louis Vuitton's current slate of bags and has been given its own refresh with newer prints and sizes.
Through Nicholas' creative vision, the Loop presents itself as a sleeker version of the Croissant, as seen through its more defined curves and utilization of metallic hardware. The bag's compact shape allows it to be worn snugly under one's arm using its chain shoulder strap. Should you want to sling it across your torso, it also comes with an extended leather strap. Present in most of its iterations is the LV circle serving as the zip pull on its front pocket.
Since its entry into the fashion world two years ago, the Loop has gone through various makeovers. While the classic monogram motif remains its most popular style, it has also been rendered in other textiles such as denim and metallic-coated canvas. New sizes have also been introduced to the market.
