As opposed to the geometric build of their iconic Puzzle bag, the Spanish label has also been crafting carriers that are instinctively soft to the touch. Notable examples include the Bracelet pouch and the Flamenco clutch. At their F/W 2023 show, they enamored fashionistas with the ludicrously capacious Squeeze bag. With a name like that, one can’t help but be intrigued.
Unassuming at first glance, the Squeeze carries on Loewe’s precise leatherwork practices and innovative vision. What Is the Loewe Squeeze Bag?
Introduced to the fashion world at the brand's Fall/Winter 2023 showcase, the Squeeze is a hobo-esque pouch that features a ruched exterior and a donut-chain strap. It gets its name from the pleasantly soft handle, which one can grip as firmly as they please. The adjustable strap allows for the bag to be worn either across the torso, on the shoulder, or clutched by hand. At the end of the chain is a pebble embedded with Loewe's anagram.
Despite its squishy appearance, the Squeeze can still stand on its own thanks to piping placed at the bottom. While there are no zipper enclosures, the mouth of the bag doesn't open when worn due to the strap tugging it shut like a drawstring. The piece is produced in delicate nappa leather, and since it doesn't have any lining, wearers can be assured that the inside won't age differently from the outside.
Since the tote made its debut, creative director Jonathan Anderson has played around with its silhouette, utilizing it as a canvas to incorporate additional designs. At their Fall/Winter 2024 presentation, for example, he enlisted American artist Richard Hawkins to illustrate images on the Squeeze through beadwork and embroidery. What resulted from the collaboration were masterpieces that still had all the capabilities of a stealthy carry-all.

As of today, the Squeeze is most frequently seen in its medium size, which measures 13 inches in height, 13.4 inches in width, and 5.3 inches in depth. You can probably fit most of your daily essentials in here, plus a pair of heels in case you need a change of shoes for the evening.
