Expanding its presence in the Philippines with the opening of its first boutique in Cebu, Loewe's new home is located at The Mall in NUSTAR Resort and Casino. This new store, spanning 144 square meters, is a significant addition to the island’s premier luxury mall, offering a comprehensive selection of women's ready-to-wear, bags, small leather goods, shoes, eyewear, and soft accessories from the Spanish luxury fashion house.
A Look Inside Loewe's New Store at NUSTAR Resort and Casino in Cebu
This boutique embodies Creative Director Jonathan Anderson’s Casa Loewe concept, which blends the intimate warmth of an art collector's home with the sophistication of high-end retail. The store’s design juxtaposes vibrant red and amber ceramic tiles with clean, minimalist lines of glass and concrete. Brass, turned iron, and maple wood elements add a substantial, tactile quality to the space.
The interior features contemporary furniture that contrasts sharply in style and form. Gerrit Thomas Rietveld's geometric Steltman and Utrecht armchairs are paired with the delicate, ethereal Akari E Light Sculptures by Isamu Noguchi. Signature Loewe elements such as black iron martini tables and eclectic podiums made from marble, ceramic, and hydraulic concrete punctuate the space. Additionally, artisanal wool rugs from Spain, showcasing the vivid tapestries of British textile artist John Allen, inject a vibrant splash of color and texture.
Beyond its meticulously curated product offerings, the boutique immerses visitors in the expansive world of Loewe's art, design, and craftsmanship. Among the notable pieces on display are an untitled painting by American artist Walter Price, known for its blend of figuration and abstraction, and a series of botanical pencil sketches by British painter Eliot Hodgkin, celebrated for his detailed depictions of the natural world.
The opening of Loewe at NUSTAR Resort and Casino marks the Spanish luxury fashion house's third boutique in the Philippines, in addition to those at Shangri-La Plaza Mall East Wing and Greenbelt 3.
