Leyna Bloom took to Instagram to clarify Pia Wurtzbach was, in fact, not the first Filipina to walk during Paris Fashion Week. Almost a week after Miss Universe 2015 posted she was, "Excited to make history as the first Filipina walking the L'Oréal catwalk for Défilé," Leyna posted about her PFW debut in September 2021.

"I’m incredibly grateful to @lorealparis for inviting me to be part of such a powerful and inspiring show," Leyna's Instagram caption reads. "Reflecting on this journey, it feels surreal that nearly three years have passed since I made history as the first #Filipino and #BlaanTribe woman to walk the prestigious L’Oréal Paris runway, right in front of the iconic Eiffel Tower. That moment, shared with @katgraham, is etched in my heart as a powerful reminder of how far we’ve come. We absolutely owned that runway!"

She ended her caption by congratulating Pia Wurtzbach for representing the country beautifully. Later on, she edited her caption to include Pinay content creator Stephanie Valentine, known as @glamzilla on Instagram, after one of her followers stated she walked the runway this year, too.

Leyna's post came days after Pia Wurtzbach posted about making history as the first Filipina to walk the L'Oréal catwalk.
