The medical K-drama Doctor Slump is as star-studded as they come, if its lead stars Park Hyung Sik and Park Shin Hye are enough of an indication. But it doesn’t stop there, as even its guest appearances come packed!
During one episode, viewers can spot none other than Lee Sung Kyung, who, just like her real-life self, was decked out in a fashionable ensemble for her cameo.

Doctor Slump, which centers on Park Shin Hye’s Nam Ha-neul and Park Hyung Sik’s Yeo Jeong-woo, is a peek into the burgeoning rivals-to-lovers dynamic between the two characters. The pair’s paths cross in adulthood after being forced to quit their jobs as doctors, decades after their shared time in high school as academic rivals.
In episode six, a figure from their past returns as their former high school classmate Han Wo-ri (Lee Sung Kyung) bumps into them on the street. After exchanging pleasantries, the three characters catch up with their lives in a restaurant, where a flashback ensues.
Outside of the uniform and as an adult, Han Wo-ri boasts her sartorial savviness in a head-to-toe designer outfit. Sung Kyung’s character dons a matching all-denim set from the Paris-based luxe label Alaïa, embellished with silver eyelets across the faded denim.

During the restaurant scene, Wo-ri’s bag of choice can be spotted in the seat next to her. The carry-on dubbed the Demi bag happens to be the work of Uruguayan-born designer Gabriela Hearst.
In its black iteration, the compact bag is crafted with a structured top handle made from Italian Nappa leather. The quiet luxury brand and the bag in question have been a favorite among celebrities, among them Meghan Markle.

Lee Sung Kyung’s quick appearance has been a subject of excitement for devout K-drama fans, given the three actors' shared projects in previous years. Director Oh Hyun Jong, who Sung Kyung previously worked with in 2016’s Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok Joo, had reportedly requested for the actress to appear in the new drama!
“Once again, we would like to thank Lee Sung Kyung, who readily agreed to making a special appearance,” the Doctor Slump production team said, in a report by Soompi. “Because she’d also worked with both Park Hyung Sik and Park Shin Hye before, she made the atmosphere on set even more fun and delightful. Although her appearance is brief, she will have a powerful presence that goes beyond the typical cameo.”
