Whether on social media or on our billboards along EDSA, chances are, you've caught a glimpse of Kathryn Bernardo's viral November 2023 Preview cover.
Epitomizing effortless cool, Kath commands the frame looking raw and unfazed as she stares directly at the camera in a Randolf Red Heart Bra. It was an exclamation point moment for those who've tuned in to her colorful 20-year career, because not only is it a look we haven't seen on her before, the energy at the shoot was also as palpable: Here's someone who isn't afraid to stand in her truth and be unapologetically herself. The "good girl" former teen queen isn't one to be bound by the successes of yesteryears, and guess what, her fans loved her even more for it.

"The cover was really more than just a beautiful photograph. More than anything, it was about telling a story," Preview Editor-in-Chief Marj Ramos-Clemente shares, referencing the impossible pressure of being the proverbial good girl Kathryn had to deal with growing up in the spotlight. "After 20 years of being in the industry, Kathryn has achieved so many things; she actually has nothing left to prove," she adds.
"Our November cover is inspired by Gen X Soft Club," Creative Director Bacs Arcebal reveals, sharing how minimalism, tech, soft blue hues, and relaxed movements shaped the effortless two-fold cover that was shot by photographer Charisma Lico.
For the fashion direction, layouts featured a mix of minimalism and tailored neutrals with pops of red, showcasing pieces from from Randolf, Antonina, Fendi, Alexander Wang, Jimmy Choo, and Gremlin Knots.
Dolling Kath up were makeup artist Owen Sarmiento and hairstylist John Valle. Owen brought to life the dewy and natural glam look in the beauty direction, whereas John tweaked the initial pixie cut into a mullet as it suits Kathryn's face shape better. For this, he used wigs from Jhen Hair Extensions.
Paul Jatayna and his team transformed Balara Content House into the team's creative playground.
