Congratulations are in order for Juliana Gomez, who just graduated from the University of the Philippines with a degree in Public Administration. "Isang karangalan ang maging Iskolar-Atleta ng Bayan. Maraming salamat sa pagkakataon na ito, UP! Mahal na mahal kita," the fencer and Cum Laude graduate wrote on Instagram.

For the unforgettable milestone, Juliana donned an elegant Filipiniana ensemble by local designer Gabbie Sarenas.
Juliana's look was comprised of a sheer terno top embroidered with dainty blooms and a coordinating tapis skirt, adorned with the sablay worn across her body. The university had a strict Filipiniana dress code for the ceremony, and the Gen Z fashionista hit the nail on the head with her collaboration with Gabbie.
"I always knew that I wanted to wear a terno during my graduation. I wanted something timeless, comfortable, easy to wear, and very Filipino. That’s exactly what I got with Gabbie," she tells Preview in an exclusive chat.

According to Juliana, they've been working very closely on the look for weeks prior to the event. "We both don’t like to rush and we were very hands-on with the small details of the dress," she says, adding that she was very particular about having separates. The camisa, terno, and skirt are separate pieces she's "looking forward to rewearing in the future."
What really made the look so special was the delicate embroidery, which is something Gabbie specializes in. According to Juliana, they're meaningful tidbits that bear great significance only she would know about.
Spread throughout the terno were sunflowers and butterflies, all of which were "lovingly hand-embroidered." At one corner of the piece was a "G+L" symbol, which stands for the names of her parents, Richard Gomez (who's also popularly known as Goma) and Lucy Torres.
