Indonesian fans went crazy for Julia and her new show!

Julia Barretto received a warm welcome in Indonesia after the actress flew to Jakarta for the international premiere of her regional K-drama Secret Ingredient by Viu — where she stars alongside a global cast, including popular Indonesian actor Nicholas Saputra and South Korean actor Sang Heon Lee, best known for playing Min Ho in XO, Kitty!

ICYMI, Secret Ingredient features the cross-cultural cuisines of the Philippines, Indonesia, and South Korea. Julia leads the show as Maya, an aspiring chef who wants to advance in her career to pay off her family’s debts in the Philippines. She works for a popular chef, played by Nicholas, who decides to hold a cooking competition, but tells Maya she doesn’t have what it takes to “compete at that level.” She is helped in her journey by her classmate, Ha-joon, who happens to be a wealthy socialite in disguise and Maya’s long-lost love.
