What inspires your personal style?
"It’s really my work and what makes sense for me on a typical day. Of course, it's guided by current trends—I don't want to be hypocritical and say that I have my own style. It defeats the purpose of my job as a stylist, which really is all about translating fashion into something that people can digest."
What are your favorite fashion items and why?
"I dress pretty simply and practically. My dream is to not think anymore about what I'm wearing because that's already what I do for a living. So my staples are a nice bag, shades, and shoes. Those three are my fave fashion items. But more recently, I have had an obsession with pants."
What are your go-to outfit combinations and why do you prefer them?
"Right now, my go-to's are a fitted shirt tucked in wide pleated trousers and black leather shoes, preferably monotone. I feel it complements my frame well and makes me feel put together and chic but still comfortable."
Could you share some style tips for people who are only getting into fashion?
"It's always about knowing your body type more than anything and what works for your frame. Color and style are easy, and trends come and go. What’s constant is what looks good on your body type. Then everything else will look good too."
