Joey King is officially married! The Kissing Booth star got hitched to her boyfriend of three years, director and producer Steven Piet, with an intimate ceremony in Spain.
To celebrate their special day, the couple invited guests to a wedding weekend in La Fortaleza, a private estate in Mallorca. It was a romantic getaway that saw Joey in not one, but four Oscar de la Renta dresses!
This, of course, included her wedding gown—a silk, strapless, and hand-embroidered ballgown that the actress describes as timeless but unique. It features a classic sweetheart neckline and a drop waist, while its novel quality rests in the gorgeous frock’s flower-petal paillettes sewn on entirely by hand. In an interview with Vogue, Joey explained that she opted to keep her makeup simple to offset the statement piece.
In keeping with her signature petal look, her glam team decorated her nails with scallop details and finished off the ensemble with towering six-inch Balenciaga platform heels. Now that’s one stunning bride you definitely won’t miss!
Come reception, Joey traded her heels for Celine sneakers to match her next de la Renta number. The designer gave Joey a corseted tulle halter gown embroidered with silk vines, making for the “perfect dress to dance the night away in.” Talking more about the look, Joey shared, “I felt so sexy and romantic in this, like a fairy.”
Joey and Steven first met on the set of their 2019 drama series The Act. It was Joey who made the first move when she invited Steven out on a date during their show’s wrap party. A few years later, they celebrated their anniversary at Joshua Tree in California where Steven got down on one knee, and the rest, as they say, is history.
