1. Shadow Birkin
One of the most coveted pieces in Jinkee's collection is the Birkin Shadow 25 retournée, impeccably crafted from swift leather in the immaculate "Nata" hue. Jinkee brought this cherished bag with her on a trip to Los Angeles, California.
The Hermès Shadow Birkin is "super rare and a limited edition for super VIP customers." Introduced in 2009 by Jean Paul Gaultier, the piece deviated from the bag's original design. Gaultier removed its hardware, sangles, and top flap, utilizing the trompe l’oeil effect or optical illusion to create a three-dimensional appearance on its flat surface.
A Birkin Shadow 25 in the color Nata was recently auctioned at Christie's and fetched an impressive price of HKD352,800, approximately equivalent to PHP2,462,692.18.
2. Grizzly Birkin
Collectors consider the Grizzly Birkin a must-have due to its rarity, as suede is an infrequently used type of leather in Hermès bags. Jinkee's first is the Grizzly Birkin 25 retournée in Glycine grizzly and Nata swift leather with palladium hardware. Recently, a comparable bag was sold on madisonavenuecouture.com for a staggering USD29,750 or approximately PHP1,622,163.38.
Her other Grizzly Birkin is made from Gold Veau Doblis suede and Gold Swift leather, adorned with gold hardware. For price reference, the identical bag was sold at janefinds.com for USD38,000, approximately equivalent to PHP2,073,109.
3. Cargo Birkin
Jinkee's collection boasts not only one but three Cargo Birkins, an exclusive limited-edition style recently introduced by Hermès. Made from Goeland canvas and leather trims, and designed with five outer pockets, this Birkin is the epitome of functionality and utility among all the variations to date.
Jinkee's first Cargo Birkin is the Cargo Birkin 25 retournée in Sesame/Desert with palladium hardware. A similar bag was auctioned at Sothebys.com for HKD320,000 or PHP2,234,274.56.
Jinkee also bought herself the Cargo Birkin 25 retournée in Nata with palladium hardware. The same bag is being offered for sale at Ginza Xiaoma with a staggering price tag of JPY7,708,000 or PHP3,006,322.72.
4. In and Out Birkin
Hermès introduced the In and Out Birkin at the end of 2021, making it the latest addition to its list of special and limited-edition handbags. The bag is skillfully crafted from the luxuriously smooth Swift leather in the elegant Biscuit shade. Its front displays an enchanting design, offering a sneak peek into the bag's imagined contents.
Among the delightful goodies depicted are a Rodeo Charm in an exotic skin, an Hermès lipstick, and a small Hermès dust bag. An In and Out Birkin was recently sold for JPY4,378,000 or PHP1,709,587.55 at Ginza Xiaoma.
