Jae-i falls under the scrutiny of her wealthy father, even down to her choice of clothes. Menswear also gets its chance in the spotlight in the series, particularly with characters like Kim Jae Won’s Kim Ri-an, the son of the school’s owner. In episode one, he wears a special blazer from Thom Browne, which is embellished with safety pins and studs. This particular piece was part of The Costume Institute of The Metropolitan Museum of Art’s 2013 exhibit “PUNK: Chaos to Couture.”

Yoon He-ra, played by Ji Hye Won, is also in the upper echelon of Joosin High School’s social hierarchy, being another chaebol heiress in its student roster. In episode two, she dons a tweed-esque co-ord set from the Korean clothing brand Dew E Dew E, while she brings Chanel’s School Memory Bag in hand, detailed with the brand’s iconic plush patent leather canvas.
