On June 20, 2024, Heart shared a screenshot of one of her Instagram videos, accompanied by a note revealing that Instagram had restricted “certain activity” towards her videos, preventing her from gaining views. This practice, known as “shadow banning,” involves limiting the visibility of a user's posts without directly notifying them. While the user can still see their posts normally, others may not encounter them in their feeds or search results. Platforms often employ this method to curb the reach of content that violates community guidelines or receives numerous reports, without entirely banning the user or deleting their content.
Addressing the issue head-on in her Instagram story, she replied to a follower who had notified her about the ban, saying: “Thank you, my love, but this time around they can report and sabotage all they want. Not here anymore for numbers, clout, or work (in a sense). I’m here to LIVE and SHOP.”

In an Instagram Live session, she further elaborated: “I've been getting a lot of direct messages about my last reel for Kenzo. It was a great video I truly enjoyed, but unfortunately, there [is] a group of people sabotaging my Instagram, and a lot of my fans are angry.”
Speaking to her fans, she said, “Don't be angry anymore. Just don't even bother. If you love me, come visit my account. If you're curious, naturally, you will come to visit my account.” Heart admits that when she used to experience these things before, she would cry. “I remember before I would cry because, of course, numbers mattered, but they don't matter anymore.”
She also shared a personal revelation about how her priorities have shifted: “A few months ago, I had a major awakening in my life that honestly, [the numbers don't] matter anymore…Before my realization, I did it for the numbers. I wanted to, syempre, it was fulfilling, but now I don't even care if nobody watches. My fans should know my heart, that I just truly love what I do.”
Heart Evangelista on Focusing on Doing What She Loves
The fashion icon emphasized her love for her craft and her decision to focus on what brings her joy: “Yes, it is [how I make a] living, it's what I do, but it's not only what I do. When I used to be so stressed about it, I didn't like it anymore. I didn't want to go to Fashion Week because I was stressed about it—but I love it so much. It's not for [making] a living; it's just really what I enjoy. So don't be stressed, because I enjoy it, and I don't care anymore if they report my account. Thank you for all your DMs warning me, but it's okay. We're fine. We're living.”

Heart then adds, “Just happiness. We do it for the soul... Instead of it being a negative thing... It's fine. I'm just grateful that I'm here. I technically don't really need to do it for numbers or anything. I do it because I love it.”
The Secret Society of Heart Evangelista
Seeing the situation with a more positive outlook, Heart continues to enjoy her time in Paris to the fullest, encouraging her supporters to find her on Instagram like a "secret society" and enjoy the journey together despite the shadowban.
“So dedma, enjoy. To those who love me, FYI, you will not be seeing me in your algorithm. Let's just pretend we are a secret society that loves each other, and you have to find me on Instagram. Isn't that even more appealing? More elusive, right? Enjoy Fashion Week with me, let's not be stressed. Again, to the secret society of Heart Evangelista, you know where to find me. Dedma na, hayaan na natin sila, hindi natin to kabuhayan showcase. Enjoy na lang natin. We gotta live, do a few things, and then we're gonna shop but not drop.”
Heart Evangelista ranked among the top for Media Impact Values (MIV) during Milan Fashion Week Fall/Winter 2024, according to Women's Wear Daily. MIV, an algorithm by Launchmetrics, measures brand placements' impact across fashion, luxury, and beauty sectors. Heart secured third place with an MIV of $3.6 million (about P202.3 million). Previously, she achieved an MIV of $1.4 million (about P638.7 million) during Milan Fashion Week in September 2023, and $1.27 million (approximately P711.5 million) during Paris Haute Couture Week in July 2023, as per EnVi Media and Women's Wear Daily reports respectively.
