Heart Evangelista’s artistry is going places. Aside from her stylish prowess, the socialite’s visual artwork is also making leaps on the international stage. In fact, one of her much-coveted handpainted Hermès bags even made it to an American TV production!

The Filipina fashion star recently shared a clip from The Emperor of Malibu on her Instagram Stories, which was originally posted by cast member Deborah S. Craig. In the quick video, the actress was spotted holding a special Hermès Kelly painted by Heart herself.
Created under the moniker of Love Marie, Heart’s hand-painted designer bags can fetch a whopping commission price of P90,000 a piece, with an exclusive clientele list including the likes of Jinkee Pacquiao and Kim Chiu. From the looks of it, the particular piece featured in The Emperor of Malibu was just sold last month!
Alongside Deborah, the scene also featured Crazy Rich Asians and The Hangover’s Ken Jeong and actor Alan Chikin Chow. Written by Crazy Rich Asians author Kevin Kwan and David Sangalli, the comedy pilot centered on Auggie (played by Thai-German actor Max Willems), an environmental lawyer and the son of a Chinese billionaire (Ken Jeong) who announces his engagement to an American woman, much to the chagrin of his traditional parents.
The Emperor of Malibu’s writers revealed plans for the project to Preview back in 2017, with the pilot filmed in 2019. It was initially picked up by American network CBS in 2019, however, the full series unfortunately failed to see the light of day.
