The style star was recently in Hong Kong for Art Basel—which included an encounter with famed Japanese artist Takashi Murakami—and concluded her creative excursion with an Instagram post that summed up all the happy moments with friends and colleagues during the trip. But of course, the thumbnail of the carousel post needed to be an airport OOTD.
Though the Margaux was not front and center of the pic (it did show the buckle detail on the side), Heart tagged The Row's official IG and this confirmation sent social media users into a frenzy. Comments started flooding in talking about Heart's latest luxury arsenal.
Made popular by TikTok, the Margaux has been dubbed as the "New Birkin" by many social media users because of its understated elegance and similar trapezoidal shape (albeit roomier and less structured.) But the prices of the two are quite far off when compared; the difference is more than a couple of hundred thousand. Oddly enough, you can say that the Margaux tote is a lot more affordable.
What makes this such a surprising addition to Heart's luxury bag collection is its minimalist aesthetic. As we all know, the multi-hyphenate celebrity is known for her maximalist style, which makes this The Row purchase an under-the-radar addition to her growing designer bag collection. That said, she couldn't have picked an even more timeless color and size for her new tote. This ivory-like taupe is the perfect shade of leather that could go with anything, and since there's no loud branding to it, the spacious carryall (that she picked in the biggest size available) is perfect for traveling because it can match any jetsetting 'fit.

Though the style has been around since 2018, it has grown in popularity thanks to the likes of BLACKPINK's Rose and Kendall Jenner, who have been spotted carrying the Margaux. Now with Heart Evangelista toting the piece, you can expect a lot more Filipino celebrities and trendsetters to follow suit and rush to buy the luxurious handcarry themselves.
