The first (and hardest) step to starting a sustainable lifestyle is by assessing your current one and trying to unlearn everything you once knew. This also includes changing the clothing brands you used to shop at and replacing your wardrobe with more ethical pieces. The thought of it seems daunting—there's the prospect of being limited when it comes to trends and the idea that you might spend a little more than you usually do.

We found a local brand, however, that sells pretty pieces without sacrificing quality. HABILIN Clothing was launched in July 2020 with the intent of creating sustainable goods using environment-friendly textiles and fabrics. Right now, they offer corsets, halter tops, and cute scrunchies. Check them out:
Halter tops (P650)
HABILIN Clothing's halter tops are made from upcycled flour sacks sourced from local bakeries. They currently have three designs: Majestic (teardrop), Republic Special (teardrop), and El Superior (classic).
Corsets (P1150)
Similar to the halter tops, the brand's corsets are also made from upcycled flour sacks. They only have one available design at the moment: El Superior.
Scrunchie set (P150)
To complete your OOTD, tie your hair up using a scrunchie from their three-piece set!
To order, simply fill out their order form and hit submit. Their modes of payment are BDO bank transfer and GCash. Make sure to follow HABILIN Clothing's Instagram page so you're updated with their latest drops!
