A few months after its official announcement, the full look from the much-awaited H&M and Mugler collab is finally here.
The Sweden-based fashion chain is set to release a capsule collection with the French luxury house, following its previous track record of designer collabs that include the likes of Karl Lagerfeld, Comme des Garçons, and Versace.
This time, H&M—helmed by creative advisor Ann-Sofie Johansson—has tapped Mugler for its market-crossing line, one bound to make designer wear more “accessible.” Described as quintessentially Mugler, the collab takes on the fashion house’s seminal silhouettes and shapes defined by its “playful, youthful and body-positive” aesthetic.
Featuring womenswear, menswear, and genderfluid accessories, the collab flaunts oversized shoulders, cinched waists, iconic catsuits, along with leather styles in an array of trousers, blazers, and padded sculpted jackets with the trademark sharp tailoring.
According to H&M, the archive revival part of the collection pays tribute to designer Thierry Mugler’s most recognizable works from the '80s to the '90s, as curated by creative director Casey Cadwallader. The collab is set to be available on H&M’s site and in selected stores on May 11—but for a peek, check out some highlights from the lookbook below.
