Gucci adds another international superstar to its roster of global brand ambassadors. On August 7, Thursday, the Florentine fashion house welcomed Jin of Korean powerhouse BTS as the new face of the brand.

The newly forged partnership marks a steady relationship between Gucci and BTS' Jin. As a global brand ambassador, the 31-year-old singer is expected to represent the house in various capacities, including attending fashion shows, events, and other projects.
In a press statement, Jin expressed enthusiasm for his new role with the house. "Gucci is an iconic brand with a long-standing heritage and modernity. It is meaningful and thrilling to be a part of such a house," he remarked.
Creative director Sabato de Sarno excitedly ushered in the milestone, underscoring the Korean artist's enduring influence in today's pop culture scene. "His warm and kind personality is truly magnetic, and his style is simply unique. He is a generous and extraordinary artist who is able to move people with his music, which makes us even more honored to share this journey with him,” he said.

Jin, also known by his full name Kim Seokjin, is the oldest member of the chart-topping Korean boy group BTS. After making their debut in June 2013, the seven-member ensemble steadily made their way to international success through hit tracks such as "IDOL," "Dynamite," and "Butter," among many others. Two months before fulfilling his government-mandated military enlistment, Jin made his solo debut with the single "The Astronaut" in October 2022. After serving for 18 months, he was discharged from the military on June 12, 2024.
