Decked in a modern lapel Dolce & Gabbana tux, Preview's May 2024 cover star Alden Richards looked every bit like a leading man as he graced the red carpet in a tailored suit accented with gold brooches from Schiaparelli, as styled by Studio 24C. His arm candy of choice? A luxurious Breguet watch.
2. David Licauco
Dressed in a suit by Ivar Aseron, stylist David Milan reveals that David Licauco's look actually took a more thoughtful approach: "We took inspiration from the 1940s (the era setting of Pulang Araw, his new show)." How, you ask? The Preview October 2023 cover star's go-to stylist explains that "the book leaf technique on the lapel, also synonymous to Ivar, was a nod to history books that has been an important part of David’s career because of Maria Clara at Ibarra and Pulang Araw." 3. Dingdong Dantes
Staying true to Dingdong Dantes' image as a classic, dapper gentleman, Maita Baello and Melville Sy of Studio 24C embraced these leading man qualities as they opted for a timeless 'fit from Italian luxury lifestyle designer Stefano Ricci. Dong's personality certainly shone through with that bold choice of an oversized bowtie!
4. Ruru Madrid
Ever the fashion-forward force, Ruru Madrid went for a courageous contemporary take from Filipino fashion designer Joey Samson. His fashion stylist shares that it was actually an ode to the actor's upcoming series finale. "This is our tribute to Black Rider’s finale, which is happening next week," David Milan says. "We wanted to do something elegant but modern so we went for a coat tails look, but with a contemporary feel hence the cropped jacket," he adds.
5. Matteo Guidicelli
No GMA Gala 2024 list would be complete without Matteo Guidicelli's debonnaire tuxedo look. David reveals that that the seemingly effortlessly chic air of nonchalance was a deliberate ode to Matteo's Italian heritage.
What makes this look truly special are the small personal details. "You can’t really see it but he has a dog cufflinks that looks exactly like his and [wife] Sarah [Geronimo]'s dog Dakota," David reveals, "[While] his brooch was from a vintage store in Venice (his family’s hometown in Italy)."
