About Jentle Salon
Creative self-expression takes center stage at Jentle Salon, BLACKPINK Jennie’s latest collaboration with Gentle Monster. A Korean brand revered for its directional eyewear designs, this new venture unveils a collection of customizable frames, offering style enthusiasts the opportunity to decorate each sunglasses' temples with a range of ornamental charms, as curated by Jennie herself. The collection features eight distinctive designs, available in a stylish palette of black, brown, metallic, and pastel hues. Needless to say, this collection is all about embracing playfulness and individuality, a harmonious marriage of Jennie's striking style and Gentle Monster's fashion-forward ethos.
Beyond the eyewear, the collaboration extends its global reach with a series of immersive pop-up events across 13 cities worldwide, all of which are home to Gentle Monster flagship stores. Including Seoul, New York, Tokyo, Shanghai, Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, Bangkok, and of course, Manila, each pop-up transports its visitors to an otherworldly dimension of stuffed animals set against the ever-girlish storyworld of purples, pinks, and whites. Locally, the Jentle Salon pop-up will be in our area from May 1 to June 30, 2024, at the Gentle Monster Flagship Store at Shangri-La The Fort, 5th Avenue, Taguig City.

2021
In 2021, Gentle Monster announced their inaugural collection with BLACKPINK's Jennie Kim. A burgeoning figure in the international fashion scene at the time, the K-Pop idol took inspiration from her own childhood and paid homage to the whimsical world of dollhouses. Infused with a sense of nostalgic playfulness, the debut line, called Jentle Home, showcased an array of square silhouettes, cat-eye frames, and tinted lenses.

Most notably, it was this collection that introduced the internet favorite Lesyeuxdenini 02 sunglasses: the oval-shaped, bayonetta-esque sunglasses embellished with crystal stones along its bridge, frames, and temples. These frames quickly flew off the shelves in Gentle Monster stores worldwide, thanks in large part to the “chic pop star princess” vibe it gives off.
2024
Now, with their latest release, Jennie and Gentle Monster teamed up anew to bring us Jentle Salon: an experiential collection that whisks us away to a dreamlike realm filled with unicorns and cuddly creatures. This enchanting collection features eight on-trend frame styles, including wrap-arounds, cat-eyes, and angular squares. With the exception of the Barette glasses, each frame can be personalized with 11 detachable charms, inspired by Jennie’s favorite novelties such as Capybaras. bows, clouds, pearls, hearts, and razor-sharp stars– each of which are sold separately. Not to mention, each frame come with a fuzzy pink case that can easily double as a pouch too! This is definitely a collection that invites you to inject some personality into your look, and to just have fun with the sartorial process!
