Francis Libiran has achieved countless milestones since he first entered the local fashion scene two decades ago. The Filipino designer has proudly represented the country consistently in global events like Toronto's Canada Philippine Fashion Week, Oregon's FashioNXT, and Tokyo's The Sakura Collection. Not to mention, he has also dressed plenty of A-list fashion mavens like Tyra Banks, Anne Curtis, and Megan Young.
Now on his 25th anniversary, Francis is commemorating all these achievements with a grand collection. Highlighting structural finesse and metallic hues, his latest collection draws inspiration from the mythical phoenix bird—a fitting symbol of rebirth, resilience, and reawakening.

This theme resonates with my design ethos of timeless elegance and the enduring spirit of beauty."
Are there any particular influences that shaped your collection? How did they inspire your work?
"My collection draws influences from a myriad of sources like revisiting my past works but the central inspiration is the phoenix itself. The mythical creature's symbolism of rebirth, strength, and beauty served as a powerful muse."

What are the main design elements in your collection? Are there any specific fabrics, materials, motifs, silhouettes, or colors that defined your collection?
"The main design elements in the Phoenix Collection are a harmonious blend of opulent fabrics, intricate beadwork, find embroidery details and a vibrant color palette. Gold, silver, nude, and red dominate the collection, symbolizing the stages of the phoenix's rebirth. Phoenix motifs, the delicate intricacy of our brand signature Art Deco designs and indigenous materials are key design elements, staying true to my signature style."
What methods or crafting techniques did you use to construct your pieces? How long did it take to complete this collection?
"While staying true to established techniques that have become synonymous with my brand, I also introduced innovative methods to reflect a more contemporary aesthetic.
